With a resale home, you have to deal with a seller’s emotional attachment to the house. Fortunately, that attachment isn’t part of the equation with new home builders. I have been a homeowner before but I have never purchased a "new home". The experience was quite intimidating for me but everyone that I worked with from sales to design center to construction to after I moved in, has been amazing. They helped keep this single mom feel secure in the decision that I made. I have friends that have bought from other builders and I have heard horror stories.
I have built multiple homes and I have to say that building with KB has been the worst experience. I have now lived in the house 6 months and still have outstsnding items. They verbally sell a good product, but they build a terrible home with cheap materials. During a walk through the doorframe had drips of pain and I was told that big drips like that always happen when you paint by hand and that is just the way it is. My closet doors have about a 2 inch gap from the floor and I was told that was because I upgraded to a 9 foot ceiling...
